Description

Something different than usual this time, but I wanted to do this for a long time.

In my fantasy setting there are many species, and within each one many factions, each with different costumes, traditions ...and weapons of course. And I love weapons, in case it wasn't clear, especially swords.
Here I tried to come up with specific swords designs for the En'Ajshar, one of the two feline-like species in my setting (they mainly look like caracals or lynxes, while the other race, the Herimash, has different features).
....and now a bit of lore for those who are interested. :P
________________________

1) Eastern Kingdoms: Eastern Ajshar generally have a lighter fur and marking only on the face. Their swords are slim and elegant, used mainly for cutting. They were the first to be conquered by humans during the Great Invasion, they barely noticed what was happening as they believed humans to be their allies against the lizard-like Sa'Jiir

2) Northern Tribes: They resemble lynxes, with longer fur to resist the colder environment. They are the only Ajshar to still be free, simply because no one was interested in invading them. Their lands are absolutely lacking any useful resources, and the nomadic tribes are extremely belligerent. Their swords are a mix between an actual sword and an axe, used for powerful chopping strikes.

3) Western Kingdoms:  Western Ajshar have a darker fur with some spots all around the body. They were the most organized militarily, and they put up a good fight, but fighting on two fronts against Humans and Sa'jiir didn't work out too well for them...
Swords good for cutting and stabbing, usually with a fuller in middle.

(For those who know my characters, Shadi is an hybrid between an Eastern and Western Ajshar. She has a darker fur but no spots)

Wonder how a 17th-18th century style saber would do with a forward curve blade, foils already get used at an angle,

it absolutely goes against the general thinking of the time that the best way to use a blade was the smallest movement and the most direct (in most cases the trust), so a blade that lacks lengths that it could have had is very strange for the times fencing

so it might be a good way to add some more Indian like techniques, a form similar to saber fencing but with more power on the swings, a forwards curving blade benefits a lot from a big hilt protecting the hand
