''Look Mom, I'm a Princess!''

My character Shadi during her happy childhood days, together with her mother Zareen. I introduced her character years ago here and here too, even if back then I didn't say who she was.
If you are wondering about Shadi's father, she never met him, and that's for the best. Zareen was walking alone outside of her village one day, as she often used to do, when she was assaulted by a group of bandits. Shadi was the result of that terrible experience.
Zareen loved dearly her daughter anyways, but the two of them became outcasts and were forced to live outside the village, one because she lost her honor, and the other because she was a bastard. Still, they lived quite happily in a small farm for some years.

How Shadi remained alone and was forced to beg and steal in the streets will be for another time.

I'll also point out a couple things! ^^

1) I already wrote it in a journal, but I'll write it again here. I decided to incorporate this setting in the same one my other characters (Enorach and Lars) live, even if it will take place in a different area and time.
The two settings were quite similar, so I thought it was better to merge the two, or things might have started to become repetitive and confusing.
2) As you can see, I decided to make their tails smaller. This way they are more similar to real Caracals, and they are also easy to tell apart from my other cats (which at this point are supposed to be a different species). They have a very different and more advanced culture too.
